The fifth challenge: abandoned shops in Essex
The LGA Group, in partnership with the Local Government Channel, is looking for the next generation of top executives! The local government challenge is an exciting new competition which seeks out talented individuals and tests their ingenuity, creativity, ability to lead and potential to become top local government executives.

In the fifth and final Local Government Challenge heat, the contestants are asked to help two local charities gain some exposure and sign up volunteers using abandoned shops in Braintree, Essex. They must also come up with a viable and creative two year strategy for the use of abandoned shops in the town.

And now the time has come to whittle the 10 challenge contestants down to just four who will compete in the semi-final and final at the Local Government Group Conference in Bournemouth this week. Watch the elimination and find out who makes it through to the semi-final.
