What’s on the site?
LGcareers.com hosts a wealth of careers information for anyone wanting to find out more about working in local government. As well as over 200 individual career descriptions, the site also offers general local government information, application and interview advice, ‘day in the life’ diaries and interviews with local government employees. There are also some example lesson plans for teachers wishing to run lessons about local government.
Finding your way around
You can use the menu bar links on the left hand side of the page to navigate all the main sections of the site, including the career descriptions. You can also use key words to search the career descriptions using the search facility box underneath the left hand menu bar. For an advanced search, follow the relevant link under the box.
Use the quick links on the right hand side to navigate between the different specialist sections for different groups of people.
